Carl SmithCarl Smith is head coach and founding partner for Clarity 2 Prosperity and Prosperity Capital Advisors, as well as president of The Smith Group. Carl’s career in the financial services industry began nearly two decades ago in 1996 when he founded CP Smith Enterprises. What originally started as a business with a single insurance product has today evolved into one of the most successful holistic financial planning firms in the eastern South Carolina region and the industry.

Carl has been instrumental in building our firm’s premier coaching and mentoring platform to enhance the practices of our affiliated advisors. In addition to one-on-one coaching, he also makes his office available for model office visits where advisors are immersed in hands-on training in a real-world environment.

The success of his personal practice has allowed Carl to become an advocate for several charitable organizations. The Smith Group participated in its 11th annual fundraiser this year for a local charity, Children’s Place, and raised $18,000. Smith and his employees are also actively involved with Habitat for Humanity, Gold Harvest Food Bank, Red Cross blood drives, School Tools and many charitable golf outings.

The Smith Group has been named “Best of the Best Tax Preparers and Financial Advisors” by the readers of his local newspaper four times. He consistently ranks as a top-producing advisor and consistently gathers $15 to $18 million in new assets each year. Carl is a member of Ed Slott’s Elite IRA Advisor GroupSM. He has qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table since 1998 and Top of the Table each year since 2005.
