Cleveland, OhioApril 17, 2017 – Prosperity Capital Advisors (PCA) has named industry veteran Douglas S. King, CFP®, formerly of Cetera Advisor Networks LLC, as its president and CEO. King will lead the SEC Registered Investment Adviser firm whose mission is to support independent financial advisors across the country dedicated to providing holistic financial planning. He will also take the helm at PCA’s sister company, C2P Advisory Group (C2P), a fiduciary-focused insurance marketing organization offering insurance products and services to advisors and agents nationwide.

“We began as a mastermind group of a handful of top advisors just six years ago. Today, we are two robust financial institutions and a training company that support hundreds of offices nationwide. As we continue to grow our companies, we embrace new leadership from one of the industry’s most accomplished leaders. We couldn’t be more excited to have Doug join us as a new partner, which will allow me to focus on the development of new processes and training, providing even more value to our advisors,” said Jason L Smith, founder of PCA and C2P and president and CEO of the training company Clarity 2 Prosperity. “As we enter the next phase at PCA and C2P, we are certain Doug’s successful track record, coupled with his enthusiasm for taking on new challenges will help propel us to new heights.”

“When I met with the executives at PCA and C2P, I was inspired by their pursuit of holistic financial planning and providing their affiliated advisors access to all the tools, training and planning strategies necessary to create a comprehensive financial planning experience for their clients. I believe this integrated approach to planning, when performed in a client’s best interest, is certainly the future trajectory of the industry,” said King. “I am excited to join this dynamic and talented team as I contribute my experience, leadership and vision to help shape how and where holistic financial planning takes place.”

Prior to joining PCA and C2P, King served as president & CEO of Cetera Advisor Networks LLC (CAN), a full-service broker-dealer and Registered Investment Advisor firm that supports large producer groups (super-OSJs), advisors and financial institutions.
