Mary Sterk is a Partner at Clarity 2 Prosperity. In this role, Mary works closely with advisors in C2P’s The Rainmaker Multiplier Division and develops curriculum-based programs based on the Your Personal Best Coaching system. As an internal figure with C2P, Mary works to develop and evolve the industry’s best coaching and mentorship program for financial advisors.

Mary focuses on identifying and implementing strategies that lead to business success and growth as well as developing systems that create excellent client care and service. She connects with people on a personal level and has authored two books on financial topics, Ready to Pull the Retirement Trigger?, and Buy It: The Practical Guide to Buying a Financial Services Book of Business. She also inspires audiences through her radio show, Money Guide with Mary Sterk.

Mary has been in the investment and insurance industry since 1994, and earned her Certified Planner™ certification through the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Since 2004, she has served as the owner of Sterk Financial Services in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota. She founded the practice with the philosophy of providing strategic direction and personal meaning for clients’ financial decisions. She has grown the practice both organically and through the acquisition of financial planning firms and she provides consulting for advisors who are looking to grow their business through acquisition.

In addition to her CFP®, Mary holds her Series 6, 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses. Among her many honors are: Wealth Magazine’s Top 50 Women in Wealth in 2008; and, in 2012, she was honored as one of the Top 10 Under 40 in her community.

Throughout her career, Mary has been a champion for women and has previously served on the national board of Women Forward, promoting financial literacy and encouraging the growth of women in the financial industry. She has also developed and taught classes at the college level entitled “Financial Planning for Women.” Other community and professional involvement include: the Siouxland Estate Planning Council; former board member of the Financial Services Institute; former Chair of Women United; and past President of the Western Iowa Tech College Foundation Board.

When she has free time, Mary enjoys spending it with her three children and one grandson, and flying her Piper Cherokee.
